Services of the Restorative Justice Council
The
Restorative Justice Council facilitates victim-centered
solutions for persons harmed by sexual misconduct and abuse
by clergy or others within faith communities. Based on the
practice, philosophy, and principles of restorative
justice, we have developed a collaborative national model
which focuses on healing for child and adult abuse,
exploitation, and harassment, as well as on accountability
for the persons who create the harm.
For some victims our services complement conventional
litigation where that is necessary; for others, it
represents an alternative to litigation. To learn the
specific services we provide, consult the list below. For
mediation services which lie outside faith communities,
visit the
Mediation Page of the Center for
Policy, Planning, and Performance.
